ABOUT


Lindsay is a film editor based in Scotland. Having studied Visual Communication, specialising in Photography at The Glasgow School of Art she moved to London where she gained a wide range of experience working with established photographers and directors. Working with renowned photographer Emma Summerton for over 5 years she learnt how to create cinematic lighting and the beauty of imagery through Emma’s unique style. Leading her to have an acute aesthetic eye to go alongside her passion for creating compelling human stories as a film editor.

Lindsay has a wide range of experience in cutting feature length films to broadcast series for channels such as the BBC. Most recently she edited ‘Tish’ Directed by Paul Sng and Produced by Jen Corcoran which was the opening film for Sheffield Doc Fest 2023.

She also has experience in cutting multiscreen films for exhibition displays at National Museums, fashion films and TV commercials. She has a strong sense of narrative and structure and knows how to create the perfect emotion with pacing in her work. 

Lindsay is currently an associate member of British Film Editors and is also part of BAFTA Connect’s unique community developing opportunities for a wide network in the industry. She enjoys working in collaboration with directors, producers and creative teams to create a compelling story. She would also love to hear about your projects to work on new and exciting opportunities.

When Lindsay is not in the edit suite she can be found exploring the Scottish landscape with her cameras and often takes to the sea paddling for alternative views.
